Pain Is a Signal—Let’s Learn How to Listen
Your body hurts. And it’s not going away. You’ve iced it, stretched it, massaged it, adjusted it. Maybe even ignored it, hoping it would move on. But the ache still lingers—sometimes dull, sometimes sharp, always waiting.
What if pain isn’t the problem, but the messenger? In Classical Chinese Medicine, pain is information. It’s the body’s way of trying to get your attention. When your nervous system is caught in survival mode—tight, guarded, and on high alert—even the smallest strain can ripple out as chronic tension, soreness, or inflammation.
This isn’t about pushing through. It’s about listening differently. We help your body shift from defense into repair—so pain can stop repeating itself, and healing can actually begin.

OUR ALL-NATURAL APPROACH TO HEALING PHYSICAL PAIN
Relief, Rooted in Nervous System and Whole-Body Balance
We help our patients find lasting relief from pain by working with the body’s natural capacity to heal — gently, effectively, and without a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our care is personalized. We listen to you, your history, and your symptoms to create a comprehensive, individualized plan that addresses the root cause of your pain — not just the surface tension or inflammation.
This is not a quick fix. It’s a holistic path that helps unwind stress patterns, regulate the nervous system, and support the body’s return to ease.

Why Our Natural Approach to Healing Physical Pain Works So Well
WE KEEP IT SIMPLE
-
Healing pain doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, some of the most powerful shifts come from the simplest, most consistent care.
We take time to understand the unique way pain shows up in your body — whether it’s tight shoulders, low back strain, joint discomfort, or nerve sensitivity — and craft a clear, manageable plan.
Treatments may include acupuncture, gentle bodywork, herbal support, and small but meaningful changes to help release tension, reset your nervous system, and support healing from the inside out.
YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM HOLDS THE KEY
-
Healing pain isn’t just about managing symptoms. It’s about feeling safe and at ease in your own body.
That’s why we work directly with your nervous system, using gentle, effective techniques to help restore calm and connection from within.
We’ll help you:
Regulate your nervous system’s natural balance — calming the fight-or-flight response
Shift into parasympathetic mode — where rest, repair, and healing happen
Release stored trauma and chronic muscular tension
Support pain relief at its true root — safety, regulation, and nervous system harmony
WE USE A PROVEN SYSTEM THAT HAS HEALED DIGESTIVE ISSUES FOR CENTURIES
-
We use time-tested methods rooted in Chinese medicine and trauma-informed care to help your body return to balance.
Acupuncture, herbal support, gentle somatic practices, and nervous system regulation techniques can help:
Ease inflammation and pain
Improve circulation and mobility
Release chronic tension patterns
Reconnect you to your body’s natural rhythm
Your body already knows how to heal — we simply help it remember how.
WE FOCUS ON HOW YOU FEEL, NOT JUST TEST RESULTS AND DIAGNOSES
-
When it comes to pain, it’s easy to get caught up in imaging results, labels, or prescriptions. While these can offer useful information, they don’t tell the whole story.
We care deeply about how you feel — in your body, your movement, and your everyday life.
You are not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. You’re a whole person with a unique experience, and we treat you that way.
Our work goes beyond symptom management — it’s about restoring your sense of safety, ease, and connection within your body.
WE GET TO THE ROOT OF WHAT’S DRIVING YOUR PAIN
-
Is it trauma held deep in your muscles? Chronic stress tightening your body? Injury, inflammation, or nerve irritation? Nervous system dysregulation keeping you stuck?
We look beyond the surface discomfort to uncover the deeper why behind your pain — supporting your whole system, not just the spot that hurts.
We’re also happy to collaborate with your medical providers or specialists to offer integrated, personalized care.
OUR APPROACH INCLUDES SIMPLE, NERVOUS SYSTEM-SUPPORTIVE STEPS TO EASE PAIN
-
We meet you exactly where you are. Whether your pain feels overwhelming, exhausting, or confusing, we offer clear, compassionate guidance to help your body and nervous system find ease.
That might include:
Breathwork to calm nerve irritation and reduce pain sensitivity
Gentle, targeted movement to release muscle tension and improve mobility
Trauma-informed mindfulness practices to soften chronic pain patterns
Sleep support and nutrition adjustments that help soothe inflammation and support healing
These simple, consistent practices help your body shift out of defense and into lasting relief.

Just as everybody is unique, pain shows up differently for each person—whether it’s sharp, dull, constant, or coming and going.
Your body is always working for you—even when pain feels like it’s holding you back.
Our holistic approach listens to your whole story and the ways pain impacts your life. This helps us uncover the deeper patterns and root causes behind your discomfort.
Using gentle, targeted techniques, we help your body remember its natural ability to release tension, reduce pain, and restore balance—so you can move more freely and feel more at home in your body again.

We work with you to find the best combination of treatments for your unique pain experience.
Here’s how our specialized blend of four powerful, time-tested, 100% natural therapies work together to realign your body, reduce pain, and help you feel like yourself again.
CLASSICAL CHINESE MEDICINE
Our specialty is Classical Chinese acupuncture. Acupuncture has been healing bodies for centuries, by awakening and stimulating your own body’s innate healing process. It restores cells and tissues, cleans up what doesn’t belong there, and gets blood flow moving to reduce pain.
FUNCTIONAL NUTRITIONAL THERAPY
When your muscles, joints, and connective tissues get the specific nutrients they need, they can heal and perform at their best.
Healthy, well-nourished tissues help reduce pain and improve your overall mobility and comfort.
We offer simple, practical dietary recommendations designed to support tissue repair and ease pain—tailored to your unique needs.
HERBAL SUPPLEMENTS
Herbal supplements can both soothe and strengthen, helping to balance the body’s systems and support healing. When it comes to pain, sometimes we need to calm inflammation and tension, and other times we need to nourish and rebuild tissue. Often, healing requires both approaches working together.
Herbal medicine is especially effective for easing pain, reducing inflammation, and restoring your body’s natural resilience and function.
RELAXATION AND STRESS REDUCTION
When your body is truly relaxed, it can heal at the deepest level. In this calm state, your muscles, joints, nerves, and tissues come into better balance and harmony — setting the stage for real recovery.
This means less inflammation, improved circulation, reduced pain, a calmer mind, more energy, and a greater sense of well-being.

Whether you are new to acupuncture or new to us, we recommend scheduling a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you have about the medicine and your specific condition. During the consultation you have an opportunity to speak with your prospective clinician and determine together if we are the correct fit for your specific goals. -
Whether you did the phone consultation or decided you were ready to start treatment, the next step is an initial acupuncture treatment. At this appointment your practitioner will take an extensive health history about your reason for seeking treatment with us. A treatment plan will be devised to address your health goals.
After the assessment, you will receive your first acupuncture treatment and be given a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Treatment plans will include dietary and lifestyle changes as well as herbal supplements to address the root of your issue. -
You’ll return for weekly visits to ensure close support as you begin to feel your body establishing a new pattern. We want to make sure your treatment plan is providing you with:
Reduced pain and muscle tension
Increased energy and stamina
Decreased inflammation and swelling
Restful, restorative sleep
More “good days” — with improved mood, movement, and resilience
Balanced nervous system and improved bodily function
At each visit, you’ll receive acupuncture tailored to support your body’s natural healing and help restore balance, so pain becomes less of a barrier to your daily life.
-
Once we see improvements that are maintained over time, we will start spacing visits out further apart. This usually occurs after 8 to 12 visits, with some individual variability. We will go from weekly visits to visits every 10 to 14 days, then once a month, then on an as-needed basis for “tune-ups.” We are here for you in case you have other healthcare issues you want to address. Of course, many of our patients wish to continue with regular maintenance, and we are always happy to work with you on that level, if that is your wish.
-
We are honored and proud that most of our new patients are referred to us by other patients or members of the community who have experienced the profound effects of our work. We love to help people feel better in their bodies and their lives — it’s what we wake up excited to do, every day. We would love to help your family, friends and colleagues on their own path to better health — more joy, more energy, more focus, less pain.
